Labs Top Dog Breed in the U.S.

Earlier this week, the American Kennel Club named the most popular dog breed in the U.S. for 2015. And for the 25th consecutive year, the family-friendly Labrador Retriever was in the top spot.

Although Labs are currently the top dogs, French Bulldogs and a few other breeds are making their way up the list. The French Bulldog has risen 32 spots to 6th place over the past decade and shows no signs of stopping. Also climbing up in popularity are the the Cane Corso, which  moved from 47 to 35, the Norwegian Elkhound up from 100 to 88, the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon up 8 spots to 66, the Belgian Malinois up from 59 to 51, and the Leonberger jumping up 8 places to rank 93rd..
